Sexy Halloween costumes. That’s how got their start and what they have been known for. They were looking to change that story and reflect who their customers really were, total bad-asses that were real. As a Phoenix media relations agency, we were able to execute that. It was a chance to declare who the Yandy Girl was and, with their official swimsuit sponsorship of the Miss USA competition, they aimed to make a splash. Stereotypes and stigmas are a constant battle, and sometimes they can come from the inside. But the Yandy Girl is unapologetic, unpredictable and above all, smart. She knows that “It’s not who you are that holds you back. It’s who you think you are not.” With a wave of a hand, and a knowing glance, perceptions can be changed, demonstrating that being real and ‘owning your sexy’ is for everybody.
